Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our Information Technology team as a Senior Network Engineer. The Senior Network Engineer will
assist in designing, implementing and maintaining the Corporate IT network. Performs analysis of network technology needs and provides recommendations for solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the design, planning, implementation and support of the corporate network and
    infrastructure plan.
  • Serve as technical staff in course of networking projects.
  • Assists with technology planning through ongoing research
  • Assist in planning and implementing network security methods, including configuring
    firewalls and other related infrastructure.
  • Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operations and systems stability. Raise
    performance exceptions or concerns to management.
  • Document network problems and resolutions.
  • Anticipate network and communications problems and assist in the implementation of
    preventative measures
  • Create, update and maintain all network documentation including company disaster
    recovery procedures, hardware and software configuration for all networking infrastructures.
  • Configure and maintain corporate Network monitoring systems.
  • Participate with a team of technical staff and managers or business unit to determine
    technical system requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex networking projects.
  • Works with internal and external customers to gather requirements in order to meet
    corporate networking needs.
  • Assess and develop high-level design requirements for projects and communicate in writing
    or in meetings with the networking team. Assess detailed specifications against design
    requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience
  • An active Cisco CCNA or CCENT certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking Engineering or a related area is
    preferred
  • Must have a solid working knowledge in the area of networking. Must be familiar with routing
    protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of networking infrastructure.
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of Cisco Routers, ASA, and IOS.
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of Network firewalls.
  • Ability to participate in multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Microsoft technologies with strong .NET Core experience, data layer skills with SQL, Entity Framework, and NoSQL experience a substantial benefit.
  • The previous transformation of legacy Microsoft codebases to .NET core is a substantial benefit.
  • Proficient in the design of RESTful micro-services, you understand how CRUD maps to APIs and can stand by critical principles such as HTTP verbs, code.
  • Experience with newer API approaches such as protocol buffers and graphQL is a benefit.
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms is a benefit
  • Experienced with building out and maintaining metrics, alarms, and monitoring for your code.
  • Experience with micro-services with hands-on Kubernetes experience is a benefit
  • 3 – 4 years administering large Networks.
