    The Opportunity


    As a reflection of current needs and planned growth, we are excited to offer the opportunity to join a dedicated team as Senior Director, Internal Communications. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the team to develop and implement innovative, strategic solutions that enhance ADMI culture. These solutions should promote engagement and loyalty among hourly, seasonal and salaried associates in the dental offices, support centers and the corporate organizations.

    The Senior Director, Internal Communications will help us seize this opportunity by developing strategies, content and programs that engage and inspire employees and partners at all levels and in all global locations to be active and engaged members of the ADMI culture.

    As a member of the Communications team, you will help foster an aligned culture of understanding, engagement and passion in our multiple offices.





    What You'll Do


    • Lead the strategy and execution of internal communication programs to help inform, align, inspire employees at all levels and locations to be active and engaged members of the ADMI culture
    • Partner with our SVP of Communications as well as Marketing, HR and Finance to align our internal messaging with the ADMI external communications strategy, brand standards, and unique tone, values and culture
    • Develop strategies for communicating messages that drive awareness and engagement across our global offices and employee locations
    • Manage an internal communications calendar and execute on internal communications strategies
    • Drive the integration and adoption of multi-channel opportunities to tell the story across internal platforms, including team member meetings, intranet, video, emails, blogs, digital channels, presentations and future technologies and communications methods
    • Assist with managing employee meetings (ie Town Halls) and events that facilitate employee connection to our goals and mission
    • Help ensure employees in remote offices have a consistent cultural experience
    • Serve as a catalyst to drive the company’s culture
    • Acts as the Internal Communications lead for crisis response
    • Supervise internal staff and foster opportunities for growth and development
    • Proactively stays on top of trends and developments within the areas of engagement and integrating and enhancing internal programs as appropriate
    • Act as an advisor on company reputation, values and culture
    • Develop and manage budget

    • 10+ years of experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training. Advanced degree a plus
    • Experience working in healthcare, allied health field a plus
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully creating and delivering strategic communication programs aligned with business goals that deliver real results
    • Exceptional skills in helping leaders and organizations define and develop messages that are clear, concise, creative and persuasive.
    • Ability to synthesize diverse activities into a clear and compelling framework that helps stakeholders understand how discrete actions support a broader agenda
    • Strong coaching and influencing skills and experience working in a communications counselor capacity with senior leaders in complex, competitive and political environments
    • Understanding of technology and how to leverage it to communicate with employees in adverse environments
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity
    • Strategic Approach – keen analytical and strategic planning skills to develop communications and issues management plans that reflect the enterprise’s strategy and help advance business growth
    • Business Acumen – develops a deep understanding of the enterprise’s business strategies, industry dynamics and the portfolio of its businesses -- how it makes money and enables its customers to thrive
    • Problem Solving/Critical Thinking – approaches challenges and problems in a rational, thoughtful manner that assures understanding and effective resolution
    • Emotional Intelligence – builds engaged, enthusiastic teams and motivates others to excel; and personal courage and resilience to deal with a wide range of challenges

    • Execution Management – collaborates effectively with business leaders and partners to ensure operational responsiveness to challenges and alignment with business imperatives. Has strong project management skills and delivers results.
    • Experience working within a large business, preferably a global organization and/or a premier communications agency
    • Experience building and managing a team
    • Polished oral, writing and interpersonal communications skills with exceptional attention to detail
    • Strong digital and social skills to leverage within our internal communications channels
    • Intranet, blog or website management experience
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
    • Graphic design and video editing skills a plus
