Position Summary

As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer an opportunity to join our growing Human Resources team as Vice President, HR Operations.



Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Vice President of HR Operations will be responsible for program management, and the daily operations of the company’s HR service functions. The Vice President, Human Resources Operations must understand and speak the language of the business.  He, or she, will act as both the program manager and advisor to the CHRO and entire Human Resources leadership team to ensure compliance with all programs and processes.


The Vice President, Human Resource Operations will design enterprise-wide programs and implement systems that support streamlined operations, efficiency and accountability in the following functional HR areas;


HR Operations

HRIS systems management; includes the maintenance of accurate and secure systems.  HR support and administrative services; utilizing a blended approach of in-house, self-service and externally managed cost effective day to day HR services.


Compensation & Benefits

The design and management of value-added benefit programs.  Management of all systems necessary to manage those programs.  Management of vendors and broker relations.


Employment Practices

Develop workplace rules and policies based on sound employment practices.  Compliance with federal and state regulations and work rule compliance


Employee Relations

Employee relations advocacy and the management and resolution of employment practices liability matters.  Management of in-house and external legal teams.


Minimum Education and Experience


  • At least 10 -15 years of relevant HR Generalist experience, working across multiple business units and functions with significant exposure to best in class performance & talent management processes is highly desired
  • Validated success running HR projects from design through completion within a corporate structure and to a distributed field organization.
  • Demonstrated track record leading successful HR initiatives and process within different models of multi-unit businesses, ideally with experience in a high-touch or high-stakes fast-paced service, hospitality, or retail environment. Must have significant experience supporting a large (> 5000 employee, >500 units), decentralized organization.

  • Demonstrates ability to partner with senior business leaders and the HR Leadership team. Assertive and results oriented in style, but respectful of others, and skilled in navigating competing organizational priorities and agendas  
  • Strong relationship builder with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interact with all levels and functions in the organization. Exceptional influencing, interpersonal, organization and communication skills
  • Analytical, process, data driven mindset. Works to continuously improve what is in place while minimizing cost and maximizing quality



  • An undergraduate bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related discipline. Advanced degree, preferred.
